Celtic Connections, Scotland, January 2010
It feels good to be back in the UK, particularly Scotland. I do so love the country and the people.
Played Celtic Connections on the next to last day of it, January 30, as a triple bill with Diana Jones and Karine Polwart. Accompanying me were Dave Keenan (mandolin, backing vocals) and Paul Elliott (fiddle). Was sure a good time!
The day after, I did a spot on Celtic Music Radio (hi, Stuart!).
And now - until Feb 8, I am traveling around the southern part of Scotland on vacation with my beau, enjoying the time off from daily life. So far we’ve seen the whole of the Isle of Arran, and now we are in Wigtown, where we’ll spend the day tomorrow perusing the many bookstores here and hopefully getting to have a proper tea.
Six more days of Scotland in January - it’s lovely so far. Cold, wet and pissing rain but lovely still.
